Twenty-Twelve

Happy New Year!  My resolution is to kick ass this year.  How about yours?  Please share by posting a comment.

The first goal is to finish my latest screenplay and bring it into development with an independent film production company.  It is a project that I have spent two years on, and I'm very excited about how it's finally shaping up.

The second goal is to blog more.  Last year I wrote one post.  ONE.  I ask myself, "why?"  Is it because I have nothing interesting to say?  Is it because I'm not comfortable with publishing my thoughts?  Is it because any sort of writing advice or career advice is null and void because I haven't sold anything?  Even if the answers are "yes", "yes" and "yes"... an Artist must continue to create whether or not he thinks he has nothing to say, whether or not he has an audience, and whether or not he believes his thoughts to be valuable.  If they have any level of value to me, then I must put them out there.

The primary function of this blog is to discuss film production, writing and all forms of art (including food, drink and leisure!)  New Year's Day is a time for setting the tone for the rest of the year, so don't be too hung over for it.  If you are though, I recommend bacon.  If you're vegan, Scrambled Tofu con Soyrizo.
