I am happy and fortunate to be working with the multi-talented Aniruddh Pandit, who is playing the lead male character, Martin St. James, in "Slowly, Quickly". A dear friend of mine, and a close colleague, "Ani" brings to our production years of experience in film as a writer / director, and will breathe life into this role like no actor I know.
I'm also excited to announce the addition of our cinematographer, Matt Kane. Matt is a graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), and has years of experience behind the camera, working with a variety of formats including 16mm, RED, and HD video. Matt and I share similar viewpoints on film and storytelling, and we both feel strongly about having a compelling visual style that matches the artistic integrity of this character-driven script.
On a final note--a big relief for me--we have locked down our indoor location in downtown Minneapolis. We're dressing up the location as a café and restaurant where the two characters have lunch together. Amber Ward is taking the lead on set design and props; so, we'll be breaking down the final shooting script in the next week.
We will need some extras for both Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21. Stay tuned for more info, but, if you're interested, send me a quick note.
