"Common Threads" is a feature-length documentary about healing, overcoming obstacles, and understanding the life long effects of abuse. Based on the book "Common Threads", its writers, Connie Robillard and Marcel Duclos, courageously share their experiences and understandings of the healing process from the lasting effects of childhood trauma.
The screening will benefit two organizations based out of the Twin Cities: Free Arts Minnesota and Minnesota Women in Psychology.
Free Arts Minnesota is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the healing powers of artistic expression into the lives of abused, neglected and at-risk children and their families.
Minnesota Women in Psychology is a nonprofit that promotes the professional development of women psychologists, informs members about ideas and issues which affect women, develops network and support group systems, and takes action in the best interest of Minnesota women.
